About this blog

This blog captures my work and travel which often overlap.  I work in leprosy research and travel to India (2012, 2013. 2014, 2015, 2017) and Ethiopia  (2011, 2012, 2015) where I have projects and reflect on work and the experience of being there. I travel to new places and have written about cycling across Tibet (2011), Cuba (2012) and Sri Lanka (2013), walking in Bosnia (2014) and travelling in Argentina (2014), biking in The Baltic states (Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia), Russia (2015) Iceland (2016), Nicaragua and Costa Rica (2018). My work has taken me to Korea (2011), Hong Kong 2012, Toronto 2013, China and Japan (2016), Tanzania (2017) and Germany and Indonesia (2017).
I enjoy being with friends and walking in Wales, Mount Blanc and Madrid.
